Dafydd has over 20 years’ experience within education as a teacher and leader. He has worked within the South West and Wales gaining experience in schools of different backgrounds, strengths and challenges. As Deputy Head Teacher Dafydd played a critical role raising Shield Road Primary School from Special Measures to Good with Outstanding features.

As Headteacher Dafydd led Charfield Primary School from Special Measures to Outstanding. Dafydd worked within Castle School Education Trust MAT from 2013. Within this Trust he held the position of Executive Headteacher with responsibility for two schools, one containing specialist provision for autistic children. He served as a member of the Executive Leadership that provided experience of overseeing conversion of a school to sponsored academy status and liaison with agencies to create a new school.
