Education Welfare

Good attendance is an essential ingredient towards raising standards and pupil’s achievement. For children to gain the greatest benefit from their education it is vital they attend regularly, be at school on time, every day the school is open, unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable.

MET Education Welfare Service provides support and guidance to schools to maintain good attendance.

In addition to our MET schools we currently work with 18 schools to support pupil and student attendance at school. Our experienced Education Welfare Officers can also act on your behalf performing attendance checks, home visits and School Attendance Meetings (SAM) with parents.
