A message from the CEO
Welcome to the Mercian Educational Trust (MET), where we are committed to supporting and enhancing schools to become safe, high-performing educational establishments. As a collaborative Trust, we ensure schools are empowered to serve their individual communities.
At MET, we believe in the power of collaboration. By sharing best practices and fostering innovation, we create outstanding opportunities for pupils and staff. Our vision is to empower our community with the skills needed to thrive in an evolving world. We also value the strong relationships we build with parents, carers, and the wider community. Education is a partnership, and by working together, we create engaging, supportive environments where pupils can thrive both academically and personally.
In March 2024, we were delighted to expand MET provision into Herefordshire by welcoming our new school into our Trust. In addition, this new school was a Specialist Education Provider, supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and extending our age range to include Key Stages 3 & 4. We are proud to be among only 11% of trusts that provide both SEND and mainstream school settings, offering a diverse and inclusive learning experience. Today, we educate over 1,600 pupils across seven schools on nine sites, supported by 240 dedicated staff.
